Dr Amit Nagpal’s book “Heroes Amongst Us” released
Chandigarh, 6 December: Blogger and Storyteller Dr Amit Nagpal’s latest book “Heroes Amongst Us” was unveiled here today in the presence of Bhikkhu Sanghasena, a renowned Buddhist monk from Ladakh. Dr Nagpal is also the founder president of Bloggers Alliance, an association of bloggers, storytellers and creators. Chandigarh Chapter of Bloggers Alliance was also formally launched on this occasion.
Speaking about the book at a function held at Chandigarh Press Club, author Dr Nagpal said, “The book has real life stories of more than 20 achievers from different walks of life. Incidentally, the book starts with the story of Bhikkhu Sanghasena, who founded Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) in Leh.”
One thing that remains common to all heroes is their indefatigable will to succeed and not give up. Dr Nagpal added that there is a hero around us and there is a hero inside us.
A panel discussion on “Blogging – Current Trends and Future” was also held, in which several leading writers and bloggers of the region participated. Among the panelists, Ms Renuka Salwan, Director –PR, Panjab University, Ms Puneetinder Kaur Sidhu, a travel writer of repute, Ms Ava Suri, a veteran blogger, Mr Vikas Luthra, animal welfare blogger, Mr Murtaza Ali Khan, film critic and blogger, Dr Ritesh Arya, geologist and fossil science blogger, were prominent.
